About: Dr. Cathy Felderhof
Dr. Cathy became my physician when I was 18, in 1977. She attended to me in emerge one night when I had a severe asthma attack. She saved my life. She remained my doc until I left Pictou County, at the age of 40. Dr. Cathy built a relationship with her patients and I remember that she was interested in how I was doing, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually. In addition, I appreciate Dr. Cathy because she was my mother’s physician until recently, when Mom moved to a nursing home. Mom has ALS and if Cathy had not been willing to make house calls, Mom would not have had the care that she did. Some patients have challenges that make if very difficult to make the trek to a hospital or a doc’s office; they need physicians who understand this and are willing to make house calls. For a number of years, Dr. Felderhof visited Mom at home; as a result, she knew my mother well. Mom loved and appreciated. My family and I will always be grateful for Dr. Cathy.
